Never Brazilian by accident
Most "Portuguese" apps teach Brazilian Portuguese with a European label on it. Conversa is pt-PT only — and it enforces it. AI models drift toward Brazilian; Conversa checks every reply for the markers and regenerates rather than let one through.

"Big general language apps" means the multi-language ones you already know — Duolingo's Portuguese course, for instance, is Brazilian by its own description. "pt-PT courses" are the genuine European Portuguese products, which are good at structure and thin on conversation. Prices are typical monthly rates at the time of writing.
